Canadian Borders

Canadian Boards was my trophy piece and learning phase in my art career. It was the beginning of my professional break-thru selling my work.

Until then, I sold originals and had limited exposure to art collectors.

I did Canadian Boards in one afternoon…I had just quit my job and was needing some new direction in my life. I showed the piece to my husband, Dave, and told him I wanted to do a print of the piece. He replied that I should find out the cost of printing the piece. I did that the next day; Advance Lithograph quoted me $1200 for 500 prints. If I pre-sold 24 of the piece, I could pay for it. The very next day, I went out and marketed the piece. I pre-sold 23 in one day. It went to print the following week. I have sold out the entire Numbered Limited Edition Collection. Now, I sell smaller signed pieces of Canadian Boarders. I offer a Remarque on all of my pieces. This dramatically increases the value and allows me to enhance this trophy piece of mine.

It has brought top money to art auctions across the western United States. I have donated a lot of money made on Canadian Boarders and other prints I have done back to charities.
